God Delights in You
The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. - Psalm 37:23God hasn't forgotten you - and He isn't too busy for you. He doesn't think about you only when you come before Him in prayer, or attend church. No - God cares about you so much more than that! God loves you so much that he has worked out a plan for every detail of your life. He has directed your steps and, through His Holy Spirit, is showing you His plan for your life - a plan that covers every last detail of your existence - and delights God.

Our Loss, For Our Gain
Posted by David on November 6, 2007 at 10:56 am
Philemon was having a bad day. His cows got out, new IRS bills came in the mail, and one of his slaves had run away. Now, even though Onesimus (the escaped slave) wasn't his best worker - he still cost alot! After all, you don't get new slaves everyday! It was just one of those days when you ask God, "why me?".
Why Do We Need Jesus?
Posted by David on November 3, 2007 at 1:39 pm
It wasn't until several years ago that I finally realized the single most important reason that we need Christ in our lives - to save us from the penalty of our sins - which is eternal separation from God in Hell. It is the reason that Jesus had to die on the cross. I used to think that the Romans were so evil because they killed Jesus - I know that I would never do a thing like that! But the fact is I did. If I hadn't sinned and needed a savior - Jesus would not have had to die for me.
The Benefits to Fear
Posted by David on October 30, 2007 at 1:31 pm
I had never heard anything good about the horror genre until I read a post on Disciple 13 about the benefits of watching blood, gore, and fear-filled images. This of course caught my attention as I am always interested in learning something new that can help people. (Especially now that it is time for Halloween.)
No Purity Left

It seems that the United States of America is just about as immoral as it gets. As the world's symbol of a "Christian" nation - America fails horribly. The USA is just about the most openly immoral nation in the world. Everyday we allow more and more detestable things to defile our minds. In other countries you might have a hard time finding the same things you can see here just walking through a shopping area. Seriously, what happened to the USA?
God's Inconvenient Plans
Posted by David on October 17, 2007 at 12:24 pm
We do not have forever, one day we will die. As much as we live like there will always be a tomorrow, one day it simply will not come. One day you will look up to see you have run out of the time you once thought was so abundant. Sometimes we treat our Christian walk much the same way. God might give us a chance to do something, but it comes at an inconvenient time - so we just turn it down or put it off until later.
The Dangers of the Last Days
Posted by David on October 9, 2007 at 3:20 pm
You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!
Are We Tied Down?
Posted by David on October 2, 2007 at 11:24 am
If I were to ask you to come with me to the park to today to go witnessing - would you be able? Even more so, what about God? If He was to ask you to drop what you were doing and travel to some other country to deliver paper towels and Bibles - would you be able too? Honestly, I don't think that I could. While I would love to do that - I have a job (and you can't just walk out of them for a few weeks) and lots of web projects to work on. Plus gym memberships, soccer, bills, and all of the other stuff that we collect in life to keep us from being free to follow God.
Who is Backing You?
Posted by David on September 29, 2007 at 1:29 pm
I constantly go through the day relying on my own strength and knowledge to get things done. Which most of the time seems to be enough for me to accomplish everything I need to do. After all, I have been tying my own shoes, dressing myself, and toasting toast for a long time. These are things that I don't ask others to help me with because I feel fully confident that my own abilities are enough for the job. However, my abilities aren't good enough for everything.
