God Delights in You
The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. - Psalm 37:23God hasn't forgotten you - and He isn't too busy for you. He doesn't think about you only when you come before Him in prayer, or attend church. No - God cares about you so much more than that! God loves you so much that he has worked out a plan for every detail of your life. He has directed your steps and, through His Holy Spirit, is showing you His plan for your life - a plan that covers every last detail of your existence - and delights God.

Why Do We Need Jesus?
Posted by David on November 3, 2007 at 1:39 pm
If someone where to ask you why they should accept Jesus into their life - would you have an answer? Could you explain the reason why we all need Jesus?
It wasn't until several years ago that I finally realized the single most important reason that we need Christ in our lives - to save us from the penalty of our sins - which is eternal separation from God in Hell. It is the reason that Jesus had to die on the cross. I used to think that the Romans were so evil because they killed Jesus - I know that I would never do a thing like that! But the fact is I did. If I hadn't sinned and needed a savior - Jesus would not have had to die for me.
Before Jesus died on the cross, Mankind stood convicted of sin and thereby was under the penalty of death. It was because Jesus took our punishment for himself that we are now free from owning payment for our sins.
Now, some of you may be wondering why I am going on about something so simple as accepting Christ into our lives. After all, that is the most basic part of our walk with God. But I have noticed that when some people try to tell others why they need Christ - they fail to get this most important point across.
For example, when someone asks "why do I need Jesus?", I have heard people say thinks like "because he loves you and wants to be a part of your life" or "because He will make your life so much better". Now while these are true, they don't show the real reason. Jesus didn't come and die on the cross so that our lives can be "so much better". Jesus died because God loves us and the only way we could spend eternity with Him is if his only son took our punishment.
Once we, too, were foolish and disobedient. We were misled and became slaves to many lusts and pleasures. Our lives were full of evil and envy, and we hated each other.
But - "When God our Savior revealed his kindness and love, he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit. He generously poured out the Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior. Because of his grace he declared us righteous and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life." - Titus 3:3-7
When you speak to others about Christ, remember the gift he gave us. We are all sinners under the condemnation of God's perfect law. We need Jesus, because without Him: we will have take the punishment for our sins.
"...If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation." - Romans 10:9-10

Salvation
November 3, 2007 at 10:11 pm
Yes that's very true.
But it's interesting to know that the Greek word used for <i>"saved" </i>in the famous verses: <b>"Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved"</b> [Romans 10:13] or <b>"If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved"</b> [Romans 10:9] is "<i> sozo</i>" which means "complete salvation" or "full deliverance". God's salvation is not just limited to the area of sin but every area in our life. He died not only for our sins, but for our sicknesses. He died not only for our sicknesses but also for our bondages and hurts. It's panacea! =) Glorious!
